“Where has this guy been?”

Gregor was laughing as he said that. He was talking about himself.

Gregor had made an overnight change, both at work and at home. The results were so powerful, it turned his world inside out.

Three weeks later, during our workshop follow-up, all the students told stories of what had happened. Gregor said this:

“It was unbelievable. Every conversation transformed. I have never seen people light up that much. I did my best to be the person that when they look at me, they can see for themselves, ‘This is a person who listens and understands.’ Acknowledgements really helped the listening because it sealed it for them that I was REALLY listening and truly understanding them. That’s when they really lit up. It was amazing because I could also see they changed the way THEY listened to me – they leaned in to hear me. Getting things done after that was easy! Getting cooperation was easy! And the feeling we both had, well, it was so indescribably good, there just aren’t words for it.”
